ITAREPS Program

At 5-7 of November 2009 in Malta, the 12th annual educational congress of GAMIAN took place.

At that congress, Greece was represented on the behalf of  Greece Association for the mental health (S.O.P.S.I), by its president P.D Andronikos and the member of the B.O.D  Mr. G. Mandalis. 

Among other projects which were presented at the congress, one of them was  the project with the title “Help relapse prevention program for patients who are dealing with Schizofrenia’. Dr Lucia Moltova , Assistant Professor of the Psychiatry  School of Pragues’University, presented this study.

In general, this method bases on the remark that every person who faces a mental illness, at the time of his relapse, shows change marks at his daily behavior.  These changes can be recapitulated in two questionnaires which will be answered by the mentally ill’s carer and the other one by the patient himself.

The questionnaire’s questions, rated after with rates from 0-4 depending on their gravity, are sent with sms formed as a code, at the center of decision making from where after evaluated the proper message is being sent to the patient’s attendant doctor.
